elitefts.com™ Founder and CEO Dave Tate performs a set of alternating low cable rows. The technique provides a great isolation for the lats while allowing the athlete to extend their set past momentary failure and increase the time under tension. This will create a greater hypertrophy stimulus for this exercise.

Keys to success:

  • Grab an individual cable handle with each hand.
  • Sit straight up with a tight core.
  • Pull one cable to the side while the other arm remains extended .
  • Pull shoulder back, push chest forward, and rotate body slightly toward pulling arm. Return until arm is extended and torso faces forward.
  • Pull with opposite arm and continue to alternate until you reach your desired reps and sets for this given exercise.
