I'm currently in a off season style of training, trying to bring up weak points and improve body composition for the duration of the summer. At the end of summer I will reevaluate where I stand, and decide whether I would like to compete in the late fall, or wait until the XPC Finals in March of 2016.
For programming and coaching inquires, please email SmitleyPerformanceSystems@gmail.comSunday called for some heavier close grip floor pressing, and based upon how last week went with my competition grip, I was hoping this would follow suit....and it did. I hit a 300 pound close grip floor press, a pretty big milestone for me. I can't wait to see where my bench press is, as a close grip work and floor pressing builds my bench press almost better than anything.
Anyways, the rest of the training session was pretty solid as well. Some moderately heavy Spoto Pressing vs chains, and lots of blood flow work.
As I've mentioned in one of my other logs, I think I've eyed a meet, but I'll give more details on that towards the end of the training week.
