Saurday 5 chains ~150#
Squat 605 x2
Backwards sled 4.5 plates 4 trips

I felt gassed during warm ups. I was tempted to cut it at about 5 plates, but I kept pushing through. Today wasn't one of those days where I felt like I was in danger of hurting myself- technique was solid- but my tank was running on empty. I worked up to 605 +150# in chains for a double and that was all she wrote. My SI joints were screaming by the time I was done.

So, I took a step back to look at the big picture. I had been pushing deads hard right along with squats, so it was obvious why I was beat up. I decided sled pulls would be my only assistance, and then next week for deads I'll only be doing assistance work.

Then back to squats as scheduled.

I went in for a float on Sunday (sensory deprivation tank) which is excellent for both your body and your mind (see CNS).
