Monday, I finally got my ass back under a bar after a week of nothing, followed by beating the crap out of myself handling lifters all weekend.

If you read my last post, you know I was sick as a dog by the end of the weekend. Somehow though, after getting a full nights sleep, I woke up Monday morning feeling pretty good. I was (and still am) pretty horse, but otherwise felt good to go to start training again.

It was a bench day, and the movement was a close grip bench press with 2 chains. I wound up working up to 285 x 1. Nowhere near a pr, but for the first time back I was fine with it. After the main lift, I did a few multiple rep sets with 185 and the chains, lowering the bar at a 3 second pace, than raising it at another 3 second pace. I think I was good for 3 sets of about 5 or six. The slow pace made it really hard to predict how many reps till failure. This was deceptively hard, and I was good and sore the next day.

Finished with 4 sets of 10 on the chest supported row, followed by 4 sets of 15 on the dip machine.

Good to be back!
