Huge PR this past weekend! Happy Labor Day to me. I wasn't planning on having a great Sumo Pull Day because I had to combine two heavy movements that are normally separated/on different days. I started off with Heavy Beltless Pin Squats, and worked up to a PR of 315x3, followed by drop sets at 300.

Moving on to Heavy Beltless Sumo-- I expected the worst. But lo and behold-- the weights were moving smooth and fast. I was having such a great session, and was so amped-- I barely took any rest between sets. I didn't want to get in my head about the kind of weight I was pulling, so I literally had about 1 min rest between each of these attempts (is it smart/rational? No. Did it feel right for me at the time? Yes.).

The most I've ever pulled in a meet was 445x1 conventional w/ a belt as an 84kg lifter (and it was an absolute grind 3rd attempt see HERE).

This time around, I pulled 445 No Belt, Sumo, as a 72kg lifter (weighing ~25lbs lighter than I did in the above video).
