After sustaining multiple low back issues the past year, and coming off a terrible showing at the XPC Bench Bash, I'm now I can do what's best for my body. I've recently opened up a new training facility, THIRST, so I'm trying to balance life and training the best I can, with hopes that I can compete in some capacity by the end of 2018.

On Tuesday evening I dealt with a problem parent about training her 8 year old son. She basically approached me mid session saying that I wasn't doing my job and I wasn't giving him the results he deserved. Mind you, this was his 5th training session ever...
Basically I argued with a mom about my coaching and philosophy and what we were trying to address for her particular child. We run a semi-private model, where there can be more than one client in per time, and I've got to be able to work with multiple clients at once. We let people know this up front and it's why our model has been so successful in our area, as we're the only one 's that A) train youth athletes and B) operate a semi-private model smoothly.
But basically after I got done with this parent and it was my turn to train later that night, I was just so infuriated still and stressed I just did my speed work and shut it down. I came in the next day to finish up my accessory work and had a much better training session. While it wasn't ideal, it all worked out.
