I met with my surgeon today and he performed another physical exam of my elbow. He tested the pain levels with external pressure and also pain under exertion. Nothing was painful and both he and a colleague feel the continuing discomfort is a result of nerve damage. They believe that even though things were "normal" following the surgery that the nerves were still extra sensitive and when I fell it aggravated them much more than they would have been had I not recently had surgery. The tricep tendon is attached, I am able to fully flex the entire tricep and he said go ahead and push it but to be smart about it. I'm very fortunate to have good doctors and surgeons available to help and guide me. I'm ready to focus on getting stronger now.
