Background: I work at OSU as a graduate teaching associate and lift at Ludus Magnus. I am a raw lifter who competes in the 105lb weight classes, and am currently prepping for my next meet (when grad school finally gives me a weekend off) . Isometric Week3: DE upper (Monday)

Warm up Stepper

Warm up-specific(ish) 2a. Ropes 300 reps

2b. Upper back work 50 reps

Neural prep 3. Plyo push-up with isomeric hold in bottom 3 x 3

4. Shoulder press to push press 3 x 1+1

Training 5. contrast speed bench with cambered bar v. Doubled minis 8 x 3+1 One set: 3 reps x 60% with isomeric pause (3 count) at chest, before chest or after chest. No leg drive Then 1 rep 20lbs heavier, fast up and down, feet down

Assistance 6a. Kb seated shoulder press 2 x 5

6b. Db row 3 x 5 each arm

6c. Plank with alternating shoulder touches

 

March 1-2 have been pretty rough, I hope that it is just the two extra days from February that life is throwing at me to make sure it gets a full month of uphill entertainment. Yup, hopefully it's a life joke.
