This past Sunday Casey and I competed in the XPC Finals and qualified for the Arnold. I will be posting a detailed write up about the meet. We both made an easy cut and it was good practice for any future cuts- turns out I was doing it all wrong.

Went 7/9 ending up with 330/175/360. Total: 865 @ 132

10lbs more than my last meet total and a 25lb squat PR.

Walked in the gym today and went straight to the fan heater. It's currently 25 degrees here. Casey turned to me and asked what I was doing today. My thoughts were not even close to the fact that today was day 1 of meet prep. The week flew by so quick. I was dreading it at first but I was mentally checked in.

Next few weeks I will be changing it up and using accommodating resistance and specialty bars. I'll slowly get back to competition bars and using wraps for squats. Previous meet preps I would throw in wraps the last few weeks of prep, but I will be adding them sooner just to get accustomed and for overload work.
