Sometimes I need to take a step back and remember that there is more than one way to measure progress. I am often quick to get discouraged when I don't see constant progress by means of weight/reps. I needed to take a step back and look at the big picture after I had finished my heavy bench workout this week. It had been programmed to work up to 200x3x4, and I had done the same workout roughly 5 weeks before. I watched and compared the training from both days and realized that there was a huge difference in bar speed! This brought me back and I realized I needed to stop focusing only on the weights and reps, but keep in mind speed and technique as markers for success and progress. I know and trust that Steve knows what he is doing in my programming and that I will continue to progress.

Below are the two videos of 200x3. The top is from June 15, and the bottom is July 27.
