Second time benching in Metal "M" Bench Shirt

Today's training was to get an idea of what jumps I can manage and what numbers were realistic for the meet. I did not get enough time in a shirt nor did I program anything really that would help it. Implementing a ton of extensions may have helped but benching will help my bench. Period.

Result is doing 10-15lb jumps rather than 20+ is ideal and realistic. A 225lb bench is the goal but will adjust if needed in the meet.

warm up: Fatbell floor presses 3 x 20

raw bench: 55lbs (bar) 2 x 10, 105lbs x 5, 125lbs x 3, 145lbs x 1

Shirt: 185lbs x 1, 205lbs x 1, 215lbs x 1, 235lbs x 1 (no go)

Went down to 225lbs and was gassed at that point but locked it out.

Today I am also handling and coaching a first time lifter. The PITT powerlifting crew will be there. Anytime I can help those guys is a privilege. They attend every seminar in Pittsburgh to learn. They volunteer at every powerlifting meet and support the powerlifting community.
