Block 9, Wave 2 - OH @ Colosseum Gym

This past weekend I moved across the bridge temporarily for my first full time clinical affiliation as part of PT school. Fortunately, I am familiar enough with the area to know how to get to the grocery store and the gym, and the gym is a good one (Praise Odin). I'll be training at who-knows-what time at Colosseum Gym in Columbia, MD (site of MD Strongest Man for the past 4 years) for the next six weeks. My training days and times will be determined by my work schedule as will likely fluctuate based on patients, traffic, and how much/little extra work I have to do for work outside of work. Today the clinic was closed for the holiday, so I trained, but Monday will most certainly not be a regular training day after this week. I felt like dookie from the stress of moving, sleeping in a different bed, and other similar sources of nonsense and disruption of my routine. But I got in and did enough, and that is my whole goal for this first week.

I am very happy that I am able to go to an amazing gym like Colosseum during this clinical affiliation so that I can continue my training in whatever way I see most beneficial. They are fully outfitted for training PL, WL, SM, and BB among other sports, with a good amount of equipment from none other than elitefts, which is in no way surprising for a gym with so many competitive strength athletes. And since I have trained there numerous times in the past, I am relatively familiar with what is available and where it is and other such things that usually take a couple weeks of searching and asking after to get nailed down when training in a new venue.
