*8 Weeks Out from Lexen Xtreme Fall Classic*

Today's max effort movement was SSB Pin Good Mornings for Triples. When I did this movement 5 weeks ago I finished with a tough 400x3. As I was working up today things I wasn't sure if I was going to be getting a PR, I did 390x3 and it was pretty tough. But at this point I knew that going for a PR would be more of a mental challenge than anything. I absolutely despise doing heavy good mornings, and I think part of the benefits of max effort work is forcing yourself to go for a weight that scares you a little. I went for it and got a 405x3 gym PR (wasn't pretty but got it). This movement is also good because it practices recovering from bad positioning for squat/deadlift. Next week the intensity will drop back down a little for Deficit Deadlifts.

Areas that Need Improvement: Keep working on pushing abs into belt, squeezing glutes, keeping lats and upper back tight.
