After a crappy Nationals, it's time to move forward and focus on a few things;

1. Having fun Sometimes I catch myself taking things a little too seriously. I can be a very intense person and can sometimes focus too much on the end goal without looking at what is right in front of me. I love powerlifting, but sometimes I need to step back and remember the reason why I fell in love with it, and stop being so damn hard on myself. I'm vowing to have more fun, and if that means training with new people, or learning gear, hell, I'm doing it!

2. Getting strong(er)

It's hard to really get stronger when you are constantly prepping for your next meet. I had comp after comp after comp. Right after one competition, it was straight into prep for the next. I made progress in the gym, but made no progress on the platform. It was especially tiring on me in the winter towards Nationals. With nothing big on the horizon, I'm excited to just focus on getting strong, putting some muscle on, and refer back to point number one (having fun).
