Sunday was a squat day at Apollon.

Although I'm only benching in the meet next month, I'm still training my lower body for now, only I'll be doing it raw to avoid beating myself up more than I need to. The exercise for the day was a box squat with the large cambered bar and 200lbs of chain.

Despite a few shaky gear workouts over the past month, I actually felt really good squatting raw.

Warmed up and went:

Bar (60) x a bunch

150 x 5

200 x 5

240 x 1

Added chains x 1

290 x 1

330 x 1

380 x 1

420 x 1

450 x 1

470 x 1

490 x 1

I typically haven't done a ton of raw work, so I did not have a raw pr for this setup, but this is pretty good for me. Most importantly, I'm feeling really healthy (in term of injuries, at least, lol).

Next up were reverse hypers. I used only one plate, but I did them slow, as opposed to the normal swinging motion we usually use. This led to a pretty wicked back pump.

Finished with cable standing abs and the adductor machine.

I may be a spaz in gear right now, but I'm feeling stronger!
