I don't want to look too far ahead in the future but we have a pretty damn exciting year looking at us in 2018.

The cut to 198 is going exceedingly well for the US Open in May, and the Tribute Powerlifting Meet organized by Pioneer Belts just sent me an invitation to come compete there. Both of these meets are handing out quite a bit of money for the winners, and there will be some huge names competing at the both of them. I'm planning to take part in both and in a perfect world I will be walking away with wins.

On the coattails of all of this news, the USPA federation and it's international affiliate the IPL announced that they will be paying the way for 6 athletes to travel IPL Worlds in Moscow Russia. I don't want to make any unfounded claims, but I am entirely confident if I perform to my ability I will be one of these athletes to reach the necessary wilks score to achieve those accommodations to Russia. And knowing this, I might have some decisions to make about travel!

All of you know how I feel about traveling to meets, and not running from competitions so I think you know what I'll decide. Along with that, even though it is a fledgling "worlds" compared to IPF's venture, you can bet I would be very excited to become a "World Champion".

The future is bright and it's full of lifting.
