I've said it before, if you've never been to Old School Iron in Cleveland, it should be a bucket list gym for you. It's by far the best outfitted public gym I've ever seen.

I'm pretty fortunate that it's 45 min from me and my best friend from college, Nuke, trains there. My new training partner, Travis, who is one of the Cleveland Indians strength and conditioning coaches, and I went up Sunday to train with him.

Squat (Texas Bar, Elitefts Monolift)

Bar x 5 145x5 235x5 325x3 375x1 415x1- light wraps on 465x1 light wraps on 505x1 - Elitefts Maverick wraps 555x1 - Elitefts Maverick wraps 625x1 - Elitefts Krait wraps

The krait wraps are a pretty big difference from the Mavericks and it was the first time I was in them since March so my squat was a little high. I am thinking about sticking with the Mavericks for my next meet. I can crank them pretty tight a get a lot of rebound out of them. In my opinion the kraits take a lot of getting used to if you really want to get the most out of them.

Accessory work: We used the Westside Maximal Recruiter - I pretty much only felt it in my hip flexors. 4x15

Standing single leg hamstring curl 4x20 per leg

625 lbs. Higher than I'd like, but a lot easier than I thought it would be. First squat above 585 since March.
