This was the first UGSS I've attended, and it did not disappoint. It's extremely few and far between you have the opportunity to train with that many world class lifters, not to mention the unbelievable coaching available to you.

There were a pretty good handful of us who squatted together including a few who were still warming up with the weight I had just hit a PR with.

Squats:

barx10 (60lb mastodon squat bar) 150x5 240x5 330x4 420x2 470x1 510x1 560x1 - (3meter maverick wraps on) 600x1 - Maverick wraps 650x1 Maverick wraps - for an nice easy PR

The first two were self wrapped, which I normally do. The 650 PR was wrapped by teammate Mario D'Amico. He was pretty eager to inflict some pain on me with probably the tightest wrap I've ever had. As soon as I stood up with the 650 I just looked at him and laughed because it was so easy with that wrap.

Deadlifts: worked up to an easy single at 605 and watched Ben Pollock pull 730 for 5 reps, which was pretty awesome, considering he lifts at 181.

I hit a couple sets of glute ham raises and then watched JP Carrol smoke a 920 raw squat.
