This is meet week. I have no tolerance for anything or anyone. It’s been a year and three months since I have competed. That’s too long. So this is the short version of how I prepared (I’m sure I’ll have something more in depth after the meet).

I got on the treadmill every day

I went for 90 minutes of deep tissue massage

I performed exhaustive amounts of rehab for my tendonitis and took lots of motrin. It feels surprisingly close to 100%, but not completely there. I don’t think it will be anything that should impede my performance. We’ll see.

I cut 12 lbs. Thanks to Mike Mastell who wrote out the plan for me. It was so much easier than what I would usually do. I actually got to eat and drink the day before. Plus I slept well which nearly never happens when I cut. I only had to put on the sauna suit and sit around for an hour before weigh ins to make it. No sauna or hard work.
