Last Sunday was a max effort deadlift day at Apollon.

The exercise was a sumo pull with 3 sets of chain in full gear. About a month or so before my last meet, I did the same exercise and worked up to 590 (lost my grip on 620 twice). Since I REALLY want to get my stagnating deadlift to move this next meet, It was super important that I pr'd in this workout. A good number here would be evidence that my back is still doing well, despite a rocky start to this training cycle.

Started with a plate, added chain, and went up as follows:

140 x 1

230 x 1

320 x 1

410 x 1

500 x 1

550 x 1

595 x 1

5lb pr, and although I knew I had a few lbs in the tank, I stopped here because it's time to start conserving myself more and getting healthy. I was very happy with this, even though I miscalculated the weight of the collars and thought I had just pulled 600, lol.

Finished with 4 sets of 12 reverse hypers, 4 sets of 15 pulldown abs and 4 sets of 15 dumbbell sidebends.
