I’m currently in meet prep for the 2016 APF Equipped Nationals, in Orlando, Florida on May 28th, 2016. I will be competing at 132 pounds, raw with knee wraps. The big picture is to prep for this meet, and obtain a top three placing to qualify for WPC Worlds in November.
For programming and coaching inquires, please email SmitleyPerformanceSystems@gmail.com or visit brandonsmitley.comSaturday marked the final heavy lower body day of training. I took the time to work up to my openers, and then shut it down. I even kept my volume relatively pretty low afterwards as I was just ready to get out. I know I've got two more sessions left anyways to get in some extra volume for nagging issues and blood flow, so I'll handle that then.
I will say that I felt pretty dialed in and there wasn't any real mishaps or issues with any of my lifts all day. Things didn't feel light, but they also didn't feel heavy..so that's a good thing.
I've also began the low-carb life, so this is where my real insanity becomes to come into play. Plenty of energy today though for today's session still, but as the week drags on it's going to get worse I already know. Overall, good things and a rather simple day of training. Saving the rest for meet day now.
