Proper Rooting of the feet.
This is the single , most important thing you will ever learn about lifting weights!
Yeah, I talk about it all the time and so do many others, but in my opinion, this is the single most important thing you need to do regardless of the lift. Your foot needs to be a tripod with the weight evenly balanced between the big toe, the pinky and the heel. Most flaws in the squat and deadlift, and to some degree the bench can be traced back to the root.- Pinky to comes up, knees move out of position
- Big toe comes up, knees get silly or go too far backwards
- Heels come up, you fall forward
