You can have all kinds of theories from many different sources. "This should work, or that should work" stuff that makes your head spin trying to figure out what is best. I have witnessed many good Trainers and Coaches that could be great if only they would allow themselves to be so. Going for more continued education doesn't necessarily make you any better. My gut reaction to the "experts" sitting nicely dressed on a stage with a microphone in their hand is..."Who have you trained to a World Championship?" "Who is the next successful person that you have helped achieve THEIR dreams?" Oh? No one?? I would rather pay attention to that fella or gal who has many successful teams or athletes or people that have become extraordinary in their own right than listen to the stack of dimes for a neck guy that has "science" backing him. Yea, it's important, but WHAT WORKS? What intuitions of experienced people have surpassed all the "staff work" put together by presenters of the next seminar? Coach is a title earned, not self expressed or self proclaimed.
