April was weeks 22-25 for me under Paul Oneid's coaching. I can see we are starting to move into lower volume and higher intensities. More up my alley, since I'm a powerlifter at heart. My deadlift days alternate - one week of conventional as the main exercise with a sumo secondary and the next is sumo main with a conventional secondary. Always a single leg movement as well in the accessories. For my main bench day, I've been working off of a percentage of a set of 5 I hit several weeks ago. We went down to 90% of that top set and worked back up to it. Lots of pauses as well. Accessory work is mainly shoulders and triceps with a 5th day added in of mostly back work. I have conditioning work on 3 days. The main part of my workout was shortened a bit, but some gnarly conditioning work was added. I don't love it all the time, but it's a necessary evil and probably keeping my body comp at a good level. TRY THIS! One of my favorite conditioning days was a Prowler Pushup series. Prowler sprint - high handles down 20 Pushups Prowler - low handles back 18 pushups Prowler - high handles 16 pushups.... etc etc down to zero
April Training Update: A fun Prowler series to try
