Relentless Detroit proved to be a decent meet, but in all reality, it was a tune-up meet for Relentless Minnesota. I just spent the last 7-8 weeks really pushing some of my raw work on all 3 lifts. Strategically working on some weak points, both muscularly and technically. Getting back in my gear mid-January and will be placing that in according to the calendar to have enough skill work in the gear before the meet. My plan is to compete at Relentless Minnesota March 28th in the 123# weight class. Questions about my training, diet, coaching, clients, etc... I will always answer! Just send a question in! Taking the weight I hit last week, I did a few sets at about 80%. Speed felt good. Briefs were tight. Cheat meal the night before gear work always makes for tricky gear getting-on and taking-off. Was definitely a little beefy today. Body weight was 134... but apparently Amit has it all under control. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the chicken parm and ice cream I had. Squats with average and light band 5x2 @ 200 Deadlifts against short monster mini 225x1 275x1 3x1 @ 315 Reverse Hypers 8x10 @ 8 plates (yes, 8 sets. haha) Band hip abduction 4x20 TRX Leg Curls 4x12 Just hammered a couple accessories since the squats and deads were tough.
Circa max Week 2- heavy band squats and deads
