I just competed in NPC Junior Nationals on June 12-13. I came in with a much bigger and leaner package than years past. Moving into the off season I will be working on my raw strength and putting on size in my upper body. Competition plans are still to be determined. I will continue to work with Amit Sapir on my off-season dieting, gradually increasing food and working to put on some good muscle. Scott Paltos will be doing my training, reworking some strength work in with some volume work for the added muscle during the rebound dieting phase. Sometimes you just need to get out of the house. Need to clear your mind, not think about the 800 things on your to-do list or just put away the stress for 20 minutes. Plus a little sunshine makes things a little better. Headed to the park with the kids on Sunday. It was busy, so they had a blast on the playground. I found an open area nearby to do my runs. Pretty sure people thought I was crazy, but oh well. SUNDAY 25 yds and back (75%) x10 pushups x10 squats x10 toe touches 4 rounds Rest 50 yds and back (75%) x10 partial squat jumps x10 jackknife situps x5 clap pushups 4 rounds Rest 100 yds and back x50 russian twists x1 min plank x30 sec rolling plank 2 rounds Felt good to run. Been awhile since I have. Makes me feel like an athlete again.
