Over the years I have shared a lot about training and a lot about myself. That's what I love about being a part of Elitefts, it's bigger than training. Dave wants quality humans, not just great lifters. However, that does bring to question keeping Rhodes, Wendler, and me around, but I digress.

I practice gratitude regularly, but on my favorite holiday of the year, more so than ever. Here's what I am grateful for:

-My Health, which is in great part to losing and keeping off over 120 lbs.

-Being able to train, which is no small feat considering my age, injuries, and time under the bar.

-My family, which unfortunately has gotten much smaller. Without my wife, I don't know that I'd still be here.

-My friends, and short of my amazing college roommate who is like a brother to me, every friend I have has come through lifting. This includes many quality relationships with people I rarely even see in person. You don't have to be in the same room or even the same state to have strong relationships thanks to technology.

-Having a job. Honestly, I'd rather not work as I am passionate about leisure, but I do love what I do. Not everyone can say that.

-Having enough money to live comfortably. I don't live beyond my means. Things do not make me happy, experiences do.

This is just a small list, but it hits hard. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Take a moment to practice a little gratitude today, it will go a long way.
