Two of my newer kids had a tough go of the pull ups that were recommended today. As I watched them strain to do TWO pull ups, they showed signs of wanting to short change the exercise. Instead of letting them have an "out", I bellowed..."Strength is a PRODUCT of struggles. You boys need to strain in order to gain" When I see people writing down phrases or quotes, I know they are "getting it". We all need to strain a bit in our day to day life as well. I take great pleasure in my downtime probably more so because of that strain I have and continually put forth. I suppose it's like working in an Ice Cream store. Even if you LOVE ice cream, eventually you tire of it. Not so much here. The strain and gain makes the kick back and relax so much more pleasant.   Today's Training: AirDyne Bike: 20 minutes DB Row: 4x10 Pull Ups: 50 reps...25x2 Pullovers: 4x12 Barbell Row: 4x6 EXPLOSIVELY 4 Way Neck: 1x10@2.0 GHR: 3x10 Back Extension: 3x20 Bike Commute: 20 minutes
