Its embarrassing the number of strength coaches and trainers who do not understand this simple concept - that used to be one of the very first things tough in any certification 30 years ago and part of all exercise science programs.   How do I know this? We reject article ALL THE TIME because they lack this and other basic fundamentals.   To say this again, if you hire an online trainer and they do not ask a health history or something to get some baseline type of needs analysis they DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AT ALL!   Maybe I just need to stop assuming coaches and trainers study anything anymore.

The basics are still the basics. This type of information should never be skipped or not know if you help coach, consult or program for any type of athlete or client. This is not new or ground breaking nor a concept nobody talks about as it should be a given for anyone who has ever read about strength programming.
