I went to the bank today to do some business. They LOVE me there. Guess it's because I don't act like its a library and I like to cajole with the employees there. Plus...they have a ton of cameras so I think I might get to be onstage someday. My teller asked me the question..."what did you think of the debate last night?" I reserve my political opinions and tomfoolery for the Social Media pages and don't go into detail over my personal beliefs at EliteFTS' expense. THIS simply hasn't been the place nor the forum for me. However, this bit of the politics set up my point. She asked me and I responded the same way I did after 10 minutes of last evening's viewing. I said that I am quite disappointed! That we are screwed big time. You will have to research my social page to find out WHY, but what took place last night almost instantly was the recommendation of my pal Vinny D. He said, "stop watching it". DUH! Why did I put myself through the blood pressure raising experience? What did I think I was going to see? Hear? What differences were made from what I already believed to be true? None! I shut it off and felt a sense of calm and peace. As I was telling her this, I noticed that the other patrons that were in ear shot (and that was many if you know how loud I talk) were all shaking their heads in agreement. I then said, calmly and confidently... I actually think the American public doesn't really give a rip. What I think we all want is quite simple. 1. We all want to come home at the end of a day satisfied from our employment 2. We want to come home to a peaceful and HAPPY house. (Whether filled with kids and spouse or family of some sort or just our pets or solitude) 3. We want to be SAFE! We don't want to worry about going outside and getting shot, or blown up. 4. We really don't give a shit who you pray to. Just don't make me pray or believe what YOU believe if I don't want to. You do your thing, I'll do mine, and we'll live here all together as long as you don't encroach. 5. We truly want to be helpful without an alternative agenda. 6. We want to learn stuff...but if that stuff becomes boring, we want to move on. 7. We don't want to DIE today! We would like to have our health and our food and water to be not adequate, but GREAT! 8. WE don't mind working HARD, if we know what we are working hard for is valuable to US! 9. We don't want to be fucked with. Especially when we are tired and/or hungry 10. Lastly...Don't LIE to us! Far better to tell the truth even at the expense that the truth is NOT popular than LIE. When you lie, you've breached a trust that we have freely given, but can option out of quite quickly.
