I've been doing a lot of traveling of late which has made the scheduling of my workout plans challenging. For this reason I've been doing a lot of high volume bodybuilder style training 6-7 days a week. I recover well from this training and it doesn't take a lot of advance planning and being mentally fatigued from travel has less of an impact. That said I did do some heavier training with Donnie while at the compound so I decided to catch a little bit of it on film. Day 1 we did squats against heavy bands for 5-6 heavy sets. This was my first time squatting since my 500 for reps squat almost 2 months prior. It felt great! Day 2 I did some full body training with some people that had come to hang out at the compound since I was in town. Also did a lot of upper body work with the ShouldeRok in a Clinic I did. Day 3 was pressing with Donnie and a guy they called "retard". I always seem to get stuck pressing right before I climb on a plane LOL. Someday I'll learn as my pecs always cramp up with getting shoved anteriorly while sitting in the seats spasming on me. This has happened a ton of times and I never learn. Overall it was a fantastic time. Donnie had me coach his team as I covered some area's he has a few athletes struggling with in regards to "rooting" to the floor and few other areas. Hearing the same thing from someone different in a different way really helped make some immediate progress for some of them. It was just a ton of collaboration and sharing over those couple days. Donnie taught me a lot of his muscle diffusion techniques that I really enjoyed. Ended up buying some steel rods as soon as I got home.... of course I've been on the road since then so have not used them much.
