Last week's training was kind of a shit show, but here it is. The whole family had been sick the previous week, so missed a couple of light training sessions, but I felt ok enough to train on Sunday... or so I thought. Sunday was a deficit deadlift. Since I only pull sumo now, I only used one mat, because more would be too tough on the hips. I wore a brief for some extra protection and overload... again, or so I thought. I wound up working up to 505. Which is about as well as I did raw the last time I did this. And everything above 315 felt heavy as shit. I guess I wasn't as recovered as I thought. Did some light assistance and spent the rest of the day eating (my bodyweight dropped about 5 lbs while sick). Monday was a little better, but not by much, lol I was scheduled for a full range shirt day, and although I thought about putting it off, I decided I didn't want to push everything back a week. The goal wasn't to go super heavy, just to hit an opener or so. Fortunately, I felt a bit better than the previous day, but still not 100%. I worked up to 600, but it wasn't as solid as it would have normally been. Still, at least I accomplished my goal for the day rather than totally shitting the bed like with the deadlifts, lol. Time to get my butt back in gear, The XPCs are fast approaching!
