Too often people have unrealistic expectations for training. When setting up any program you need to establish your non-negotiables. What are your minimum commitments for time and training?

My non-negotiables are training six days a week with one day a week dedicated to recovery. I have three resistance training days and three conditioning days.

Monday - Heavy upper body and dynamic lower body training

Tuesday - 1 hr ruck

Wednesday - Heavy lower body and dynamic upper body training

Thursday - 1 hr ruck

Friday - Full-body gap/assistance training

Saturday - 1 hr ruck

Sunday - Recovery

That's my base. From there I add work related to my goal for that block. My four different areas of focus are strength, hypertrophy, conditioning, and functional/implement training.

Next week I'll outline my current conditioning block.
