Elitefts™ Advisor and Owner of Mountain Dog Training and Nutrition John Meadows performs an intense superset to stimulate growth in the calves and anterior tibialis with assistance from elitefts™ CEO and Founder Dave Tate. This superset has a variety of functional applications for different training purposes. While obviously it can be used to potentiate hypertrophy in the soleus and tibilais to complement and balance the gastrocnemius, outside of aesthetics in a bodybuilding context, this superset has value in other ways. This combination of exercises is also great to enhance performance and reduce the likelihood of injury. Incorporating this routine into the regimen of an athlete will encourage postural improvements that will improve ankle mobility, and, additionally, training the soleus and tibialis anterior has carryover to many athletic movements and helps reduce the likelihood of common conditions like shin splints.
