Team elitefts™ Coach Josh Bryant is performing chest flys with chains to accommodate to the strength curve and increase the amount of tension in the contracted position.

Keys to success:

  • Lower the weight through the eccentric portion of the lift with control and feel the stretch. The load will be much lighter at the bottom which allows you to increase the amount of stretch with less overall risk and stress on the shoulder joint.
  • Through the concentric portion of the movement focus on driving the elbows together. This will allow you to maximally shorten the pecs and recruit more muscle fibers.
  • Squeeze hard for 1 second at the top of the movement.
