After having set an all-time PR on my equipped bench press with 457lbs, I'm taking the next 12-16 weeks to focus on hypertrophy training. My wife is beginning to diet to do a show within the next year, so I'm shifting this time to join in her footsteps for support. I'm hoping to compete again before the end of 2019.

This being the last day of my hypertrophy training, things went pretty well and I just made sure I had fun. I'm going to go back to some heavier bench press training and work on getting back to that and hopefully find a meet to do within the next 6-8 months or so. With the health issues my wife has been having, I'm not sure I'll be able to get a meet in before the end of 2019. I'm not even sure what route I want to take (raw or equipped) and if I want to make another attempt down to 132, or get a good meet together at 148 and then go from there.

All I do know is that I'm going to keep training lower body twice per week, and go back to a conjugate layout with a bit more bodybuilding feel to it. It will be a test run or sorts, so if you like lifting hard, but bro-ing out, you might like my training for the next 3-6 months.
