Due to obligations outside the gym my training has been reduced to 3 days a week. I'm still contemplating doing a meet at the beginning of December but I'm not committing to it yet. This is unusual for me. I'm usually the guy who signs up 6 months out and has two training cycles to get ready for it. I have a few main reasons for not committing to doing it. The first is I've had so much going on that I have been unable to dedicate the time I feel is needed to properly be prepared for a meet. The second and third are somewhat the same reason...I have one powerlifting goal remaining I want to achieve and that is to squat 1,000 in a meet. Once I achieve this I fully intend on quitting and not competing any longer. What goes along with this is I'm pushing up there in years and I don't know how many more competitions I have left. Having another major injury might just wash me off the board from being competitive altogether. I know that isn't a "hardcore" or "savage" or whatever the cute little instaface pound sign saying is these days but that is the reality of my situation and I will continue to ponder it for now....
