Speed & Assistance Work

For the first time in weeks, I was really not feeling like training today. I think this is due to increasing my overall volume of work since I am finally adding "cardio" back into my training, so I'm doing a lot more work per week. Side note: I have done more cardio sessions in the past 2 weeks than I had in the past 3 months prior to that. This is a large part of why I am currently fat and gross. But I'm working on it. I managed to get myself out in the garage (thank goodness I didn't have to go any further than that) and do most of my programmed training, but I did knock down/out a little bit of work from the tail end today because everything felt so wretched.

Single Leg Box Jumps

5ea x BW to 12"

3ea x BW to 15"

3ea x BW to 18" ---------------------

2x3ea x BW to 19.5"

3ea x BW to 21"

3ea x BW to 22.5"

Left leg is DEFINITELY crappi(er) than right leg at these.

Hang Power Snatches

barbell warmups

6x45

4x95

3x115 ---------

3x4x125

Supinated Grip Lat Pulldowns/Lateral Raises/Toes to Bar

10x145/10x25/8xBW -----------------------------

2x{6x210/8x35/8xBW}

Toes to bar was much easier this week in terms of reps and actually touching the bar. I repeated my weights from last week rather than make my planned increases and scratched bis and tris at the end. Glad I trained and also glad I shortened it. If I keep feeling blah about training I will examine my nutrition more closely, but right now I think I just need another week or so to adapt to the increased exercises frequency and load.
