Not my best day to say the least.... JP Carroll and I have a friendly wager on who will deadlift more at the Arnold Classic. He is doing the full XPC meet on Saturday and I'm doing the 21 Deadlift Salute on Sunday. Somehow, we ended up with this little side bet going rep for rep at the Elitefts Compound last Sunday.

There was a lot of $h!t talking from him, myself and of course Dave. We warmed up and started going rep for rep.

Deadlift: 135, 225, 315, 405, 495, 585, 675, 725.

Then made the jump to 765, which I pulled at Elitefts a couple weeks ago and definitely thought I had more in the tank. I ended up missing it twice. As JP said, "Some days you're the pigeon, some days you're the statue". I was the statue on this day.

He ended up smoking 765 and just missing 805 at lock out. JP won $100 from Dave with "Winner" on it. I won a $20 participation trophy that says, "I SUCK".

Definitely not my best work. But, looking forward to redeeming myself at the Arnold in a few weeks.
