So openers have not been moving like openers as you can see from the past few blog updates. There are several factors for this that I will not go into at the moment, but we are adjusting accordingly for them and the meet will still be an enjoyable one with the possibility for a PR or two. The bench has always been a struggle for me, this session I am taking as a win due to the fact that I debated on taking 360, finally set my mind to do it and I got it. As mentioned in the video it did not have the speed I usually like for an opener but after this weeks rest I think I will be good to go come meet day (and way heavier). This is the lightest I have ever trained at prepping for a meet (185-187) which is one of the factors leading to my decision to drop my opener's. Best case scenario they feel really easy and I can make up the drop in my jump to a second attempt. Now I get to rest, focus on clients - to take my mind off of being so damn tiny as I write this weighing 184 - and enjoy the platform once again in less than a week!
