Sunday was a squat day at Apollon Gym.

The lift was a box squat agains a strong and average band. In other words, it was f*cking hard.

Warmed up, and worked up as follows:

bar x a bunch

Strong band x 5

Both bands x 1

Added METAL Original Pro Brief

150 x 1

200 x 1

240 x 1

290 x 1

330 x 1

380 x 1

Added Original Pro suit bottom

420 x 1

470 x 1

500 x 1

I was a little disappointed at first, because the last time I worked up with this setup, I hit 560. But then my training partners reminded me that this was at Eastside Barbell, where we squatted out of a standard rack with the mono attachment. Since our moonlight has a bigger base, it means the band tension was higher.

That made me feel a bit better.

For assistance, I started on the reverse hyper. This time, I used only 1 plate per side, but did it without swinging, which really pumps up my lower back.

Next were good girl/bad girls, and standing cable abs.
