Block 7, Wave 3 - DL

Midterms are taking their toll. I followed up a terrible day of benching with an even worse day of deadlifting. I hate to deload, but after this wave of this block of my training, it needs to happen. I also was not going to post the video of the tug in question, but I felt the need to make a public service announcement as a warning to others. After all, even awful lifts can serve as examples of what NOT to do.

Deadlift

10x45

5x1135

5x225

3x335

1x425

5x450

3x510

1x570 - The bards whisper tales of the 10 second rep around their flagons of mead by firelight. A rep so shitty and technically foul as to repel the gaze of all who witness it. Few have performed such a feat of fecality and come out unscathed. I myself seem to have ended up with a minor strain to my right gluteus maximus, but I consider myself lucky not to have sustained worse.

DB Split Lunge Jumps/Single Leg Calf Raise

6ea x 30/20ea x BW

6ea x 40/20ea x BW

I shut it down after just 2 sets of assistance work because I was circling the bowl and heading for the sewer. Everything was off today and not by a little bit. The fact that I didn't eject my spine from my back on that idiotic deadlift is a Christmas miracle.
