Tomorrow I will compete in my first meet in 2 years. In preparation for a meet last year I tore my left tricep tendon which resulted in reattachment surgery. I was very pleased with the results of the surgery and have no remaining issues. I have not, however, had the time to get the strength of my bench press back to pre-surgery levels. This was one of the reasons I have been hesitant in doing a meet. After some conversation a few weeks ago with Dave and JP I decided to go ahead and register for the meet tomorrow. My squat has been solid and I should be able to pull a small PR. My bench is all over the place and I'll be happy with a low 500 press. My openers are 840, 155, 640. I feel ready to squat and am confident in my pull but the bench will be interesting and is the reason for the token opener. I didn't want to risk bombing out on the bench and losing credit for my squat. I did not cut weight and weighed in this morning at 256.2. It will be a good day tomorrow I'm just not sure how good.
