8 Weeks Out from XPC Finals @ The Arnold Classic

Earlier this week I wanted to do some heavier deadlifts on max effort day because I hadn't done a regular heavy DL in a while - The whole day leading up to training my hip and glute were bothering me pretty bad to the point I had a nice pimp limp going at work; so deadlifting heavy probably wasn't the best idea but sounder minds didn't prevail....

I felt like crap right from 315lbs; and was having issues squeezing my glutes with my hip pain; I worked up to 600lbs and it flew up, but lockout was much tougher than normal and my hip pain was pretty bad, so I shut it down for the day. I did 6 sets of reverse hypers and abs and that was all she wrote. Trying to do a better job of taking my own advice and letting those kind of days just roll off my back, especially when 90% of my other training sessions the past few weeks are going really well. My best comp pull is 650lbs, and I'm confident I can hit a good PR this next meet if I train smart these final 7 weeks.
