I'm currently having a "fun" week of volume and bodybuilding like work to give my body a minor rest from heavy weights. This training is designed to get a lot of blood flow into all my body parts and just give my mind a mental break from heavy training. Off season training is planned to start on October 30th, 2015.

Wednesday I got some more work in at the rec, focusing on a back session. I personally, LOVE training back. The rec has access to a bunch of machines and angles that I just don't have options to when I train out of my garage, so this was super fun. My favorite part about many of these sessions is that it only takes about 45-60 minutes to get through a whole session, and I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. I might be hitting some "extra" light sessions this off season in the rec as long as I can make them devoted to what I personally need to get better. We'll need to see how I can set this up and not get destroyed, but more than likely it's going to be a "recovery" like session. Another good one in the books though.

I also got asked while I was training if I was a competitive bodybuilder. While I really wish I was a dual athlete, and do miss my bodybuilding days (I wasn't that great, but I know I had a lot of potential and it built me a GREAT foundation for powerlifting), just right now at this point in my life and competitive career I don't think it's the best option. However, you can probably expect me to get on stage at least one more time at some point. I would love for it to be within the next 3-5 years, but I'll always just have to see where things go. I would certainly reach out for some nutritional coaching, and probably even some programming. It's always in the back of my head, but the time just isn't now. Oh well, I can still train like one from time to time.
