This week was another week of heavy work sets of 3x3 in the squat suit, just with a 20lb increase in weight. As I stated before, this style has been teaching me (more like forcing me) to stay extremely tight while squatting. Obviously you always want to do that however, most people in gear work up in doubles then usually hit a few singles. Hitting sub max work for reps actually increases the total volume moved throughout the training session, instead of hitting that one single at 98% all the time. Yes, getting the weight on your back is important but doing reps like this (in full gear) is going to make a heavy single feel much better when you work back up to it. Just a different perspective.

A. Squat Bar weight x 10 155x10 245x8 335x3 Add Briefs 425x2 515x1 Add Suit Bottoms 605x1 Add Straps 695 3x3 Add Light Wrap

B. Laid in Bed x 45 minutes

Was supposed to do some heavy band pulls but the gym I was at was closing after I was done squatting. :( Looking forward to a lighter squat week before I ramp it back up for the final stretch before meet day.
