"Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless." - Jamie Paolinetti

Yep here it comes again. Deload week. This week for us usely comes around the 7 to 6 weeks out mark from a meet. Then we will hit it hard for a couple weeks, get ready for openers, rest up again then meet time. I know there are those that doubt resting helps, deloading helps and blah blah blah but....we have had success with what we have been doing at our gym for 17 years. If it aint broke don't fix it....

This week was a true rest week for me personally. I have been needing a week of rest to recharge my batteries and have some extra time to do things that are needing to be done at my house and at my Dads. I always look forward to these deload weeks because by the end of the week I am going crazy not training and ready to hit it when I return the following week....

Here is what this week mainly consisted of for 3 days of the week that I came in each day:

Hammer Swings

6 pound hammer - one arm and 2 arm swings - 3 sets each 8 pound hammer - one arm and 2 arm swings - 3 sets each 10 pound hammer - one arm and 2 arm swings - 3 sets each

Body Tempering

Quads, hamstrings, back, calves

Band Stretching

hips, hamstrings

Hanging Stretch for Shoulders and Back

3 sets - 30 seconds each

Inversion Table

3 sets - 60 seconds upside down

More stetching and body buffering at home.....
