Florida – Iron House/2015 Florida’s Strongest Man – Level 2

December 12, 2015

2-day training weekend at the Ironhouse to run through Florida's Strongest Man events. We got in on Friday night, and after 4 hours of driving, we went straight to the log clean and overhead press. Worked up to about 95% (140lbs) of comp weight. Then, deloaded to work on technique. No video but I was muscling up the press rather than using my legs and getting under the log to lockout. Sitting in a car for hours probably didn't help but it was a productive night.

Next Day:

Bigg Dogg Circus DB Press

Worked up for a few singles to 80lbs. Then, went for another PR for 1 x 2, 1 x 3. A month before Nationals, I couldn't even press it. So I am pretty pumped about my progress on this implement.

Frame Carry (365lbs) comp weight is 350lbs

5 events total making one a mystery event. We are not sure what it will be until day of comp but we have been working with sandbags and kegs.
