Im not going to lie, I had expectations going into class today to be quiet, do minimal work and just loosen up some cranks and pains, and work on breathing within the four corners of my mat.

10 minutes into the class, I surrendered all expectations. I tried new inversions and almost busted my ass being consistent with ‘getting it right’

There is no right way in yoga, and that’s why I genuinely love it. I could have stayed in child’s pose and met those expectations I had walking into the studio. After letting go, I just let the class and my body do whatever it needed and wanted. Having the freedom of natural instinct and challenging myself with alignment.

The intention was to enjoy the ride. It’s not about the destination. And if you’ve followed me, you’ll realize that thought process has shifted for me in the last few months. There is no destination. The destination is a myth. Because when are we really done with bettering ourselves? When are we truly satisfied with mastering a craft? I hope never.
