I'm currently in a off season style of training, trying to bring up weak points and improve body composition for the duration of the summer. At the end of summer I will reevaluate where I stand, and decide whether I would like to compete in the late fall, or wait until the XPC Finals in March of 2016.
For programming and coaching inquires, please email SmitleyPerformanceSystems@gmail.comSaturday was my first heavy deadlift training session back since the deload. It was a very good training session, but it was incredibly hot. The weather for the day was in the mid 90's with the heat index well over 100. It really was the first time the heat had actually began to get to me. I still got through the session pretty well, but still cut things a little shorter than I would have liked. But I got in some good work on my main movements, and the rest was just kind of filler. I'm hoping when I come back to this in two weeks that the weather is a bit better and that I don't feel like absolute death afterwards. Great steps forward on my deadlift though.
